Moving shapes are simplified to curved outlines and filled with a palette of colors that shifts over time.
As multiple layers of these organic shapes accumulate and confront one another, an abstract narrative emerges.

Using as a source the same video as for Kandid 2, I extract fragments of movements evolving during time on a loop of 100 images. I compose with some of these fragments and remix them through different processes.

Nicolas Boillot is a visual artist who has been designing « brush » (a custom computer software in C++) capable of lacerating video flows by slicing only the moving parts. These forms in constant evolution are then used as a stencil shape. Like on a Praxinoscope, each fragment is added on a loop. In the lineage of the "poster artists" of the 1960s, by laceration, by accumulation, his works make coexist multiple temporalities.
